Why They Give: Mark Fishman
Mark Fishman is an emeritus member of CHOP’s Board of Trustees and an active member of the Foundation Board of Advisors at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He and his wife, Jill, have been donors since 1984 and are members of the President's Circle at CHOP. Mr. Fishman is the president of a youth apparel company that was founded by his grandfather in 1914.
In 2005, the Fishmans established the Jane Fishman Grinberg Endowment in Stem Cell Research at CHOP in memory of Mark’s sister. They continue to support many programs at CHOP, including Building Hope: Campaign for the Buerger Center for Advanced Pediatric Care.
Philanthropy is more and more important now, especially in this period in time when we are poised to create miracles for children of the world. Children are our future, and the more we invest in them and improve their quality of life the better our society will be.
