While the number of children with complex medical conditions continues to rise, the number of pediatric specialists who can care for them has dwindled. At Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), we are committed to preparing the next generations of top pediatric care providers, specialists and researchers that families need now — and into the future. We will also give our staff opportunities to advance their knowledge to best care for children and families.
Your support through this campaign will help CHOP offer the best training for future leaders in children’s health.
With your support, we will raise $150 million to train the next generation of pediatric leaders. CHOP attracts the best and brightest aspiring physicians for one key reason: They want to learn from true pioneers in pediatric medicine. These new leaders will carry CHOP’s legacy of progress forward — and benefit children worldwide.
Training Leaders In Children’s Health
Urologist Gregory Tasian, MD,
MSC, MSCE, is a renowned expert
on pediatric kidney stones, which are becoming more common. He pursued this interest after joining CHOP as a urology fellow in 2011.
Thanks to donor support through the Urology and Nephrology Research Fund, Dr. Tasian was able to lead groundbreaking studies that have advanced our approach to kidney stones in children.
Dr. Tasian has since won major awards from the National Institutes of Health, and he helped spearhead the new Pediatric Kidney Stone Center at CHOP. His story speaks to the importance of recruiting
the best young physicians and scientists to CHOP as fellows and then putting the resources in place to support their work. A fellowship is their foundation for figuring out what questions they wish to ask and answer to improve health care for all children, not just those at CHOP.
Every Dollar Counts. You Can Help.
We are over 89 percent of the way to our goal of $150 million to advance training and education at CHOP. By donating to quality professional education, you will ensure that CHOP can continue to be the premier training ground for future pediatric leaders, who will tailor care for every child and family as they advance pediatric medicine worldwide.Donate Now
