In this short video, Dr. Offit explains that one of the influenza type B strains has disappeared from circulation. For this reason, 2024-2025 influenza vaccines will contain only three types of influenza instead of four as in the past few years. The updated trivalent version will include protection against two common type A influenza viruses and one type B influenza virus.
