Doug Hock is the Executive Vice President and System Chief Operating Officer  at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

About Doug Hock

Doug Hock provides leadership, direction and administration of clinical operations across the CHOP system. He has built a leadership team focused on driving employee engagement, integrating digital technology into all aspects of care and work, and improving the patient experience along the dimensions of outcomes, safety, customer service and efficiency. 

Before coming to CHOP, Mr. Hock served at two nationally respected children's hospitals: Texas Children’s Hospital, where he served as Senior Vice President, and Children's Health in Dallas, where he served as President and Chief Operating Officer.

Mr. Hock  currently leads the development and implementation of a $3.4 billion facilities master plan for CHOP that includes a new patient tower on CHOP’s Philadelphia Campus and a third wet-bench research building.  

Mr. Hock’s board service over the years includes The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania, the Children’s Hospital Association, and the Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation. Modern Healthcare has named him one of the 25 top COOs in healthcare.

Mr. Hock is a native of Philadelphia and received his BS in Business and Economics from Lehigh University and his Master of Business Administration from Rice University.
