About Monica Taylor Lotty
Monica Taylor Lotty leads CHOP’s advancement efforts and a CHOP Foundation team of 180. She manages all fundraising strategy for advancing CHOP’s mission and vision, including developing and executing plans for CHOP’s comprehensive fundraising campaigns. Under Ms. Lotty’s leadership, CHOP closed its For Tomorrow’s Breakthroughs Campaign in June 2020 with $1 billion raised. The hospital is in the planning phase of its next comprehensive campaign, which will build on CHOP’s global leadership in patient care, medical research, community initiatives, and the training and education of children’s health professionals.
Prior to CHOP, Ms. Lotty served as Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations at the University of Delaware, and as Executive Director for External Affairs at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She has dedicated more than 35 years to working with families, business leaders and philanthropists around the globe.
Ms. Lotty is involved with multiple organizations, including The Woodmark Group; The Forum of Executive Women; International Women’s Forum, Delaware; and Serviam Girls Academy (Board of Directors). She is also an Executive Sponsor for CHOP’s All Abilities Employee Resource Group. She has been named one of Philadelphia’s Most Influential African Americans by The Philadelphia Tribune several times and received the Corporate Leadership Award from the Philadelphia Business Journal in 2024 and the President’s Award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ Greater Philadelphia Chapter in 2025.
Ms. Lotty has a JD from The James E. Beasley School of Law at Temple University and a BA in Government from Georgetown University.
