Child Evaluation Center

The Child Evaluation Center (CEC) provides access to comprehensive evaluations for children and youth with special healthcare needs (CYSHCN) throughout the state of New Jersey. These evaluations are completed by a core team of providers, which enables families to seek care through one center instead of multiple sites for each specialist. The CEC also provides coordination services to families in addition to educational resources that are made available to families, providers and other members of the community. Five of the CECs in New Jersey, including our location in Mays Landing, provide diagnostic services for children with or suspected of having fetal alcohol syndrome (FAS) or fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD).

We provide services to children birth through 21 years with or at risk for congenital or acquired neurodevelopmental disorders that were either present at birth, or developed over time. Examples include, but are not limited to: autism, ADHD, communication disorders, developmental delays, FAS, FASD and other.

There are no income requirements for services available through CECs.
