The POPPIES Award for exceptional nursing support staff is granted to staff members who demonstrate support to nurses and demonstrate the power of positive people in excellent service. Each month, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia selects a staff member from among the submitted nominees who embodies the principles of the award. Patients, visitors, and all CHOP employees may nominate a deserving staff member by filling out this form.

What is the POPPIES Award?

The POPPIES award was created in conjunction with the established nursing recognition DAISY Award for outstanding nursing care. Nurses cannot survive without the outstanding teamwork provided by other healthcare professionals. The POPPIES award recognizes those staff members who demonstrate the Power of Positive People in Excellent Service (POPPIES).
