2023 Mindfulness for Teens and Tweens

Cosponsored by CHOP Integrative Health and Penn Program for Mindfulness

The course will introduce participants to the practice of mindfulness and cognitive-based strategies to:

  • Decrease the effects of stress,
  • Understand and diffuse anxiety,
  • Help with emotional regulation,
  • Improve communication skills,
  • Increase sense of wellness,
  • Reduce reactivity
  • Improve ability to respond to life challenges.

Your child will learn a variety of mindfulness techniques including formal meditation practices such as breath awareness, body scan and movement meditation, as well as applied mindfulness practices to use in daily life.


  • Four Sundays: November 12, 19, 26 & December 3


  • Middle School Group: 1:00 – 2:30 PM
  • High School Group: 3:00 – 4:30 PM
