The Recovery and Return (R2) Clinic helps children and families during recovery from pediatric cardiac arrest and other neurocritical illnesses. We will help you identify and manage common physical, neurocognitive, and behavioral problems that your child might experience after discharge from the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU). Our multidisciplinary team starts to get to know your family while your child is in the PICU, checks on you during the rest of your child’s hospital stay, and provides a telephone call and in-person check-up with you and your child in clinic the month after your child is discharged from the hospital.
