Your Child's Balance and Vestibular Program Appointment

Before your visit

Please complete the vestibular questionnaire (PDF) prior to your child's appointment, and bring it with you on the day of your visit.

Please discontinue the following medications/substances 24 HOURS before your child's scheduled appointment:

• Aspirin
• Anti-nausea medications
• Anti-dizziness medications
• Tranquilizers
• Sedatives
• Narcotics and barbiturates
• Antihistamines
• Alcohol
• Caffeinated beverages

Day of visit

Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment and plan on the team’s evaluation taking most of the day. Your child will be seen on the 5th of the Buerger Center for Advanced Pediatric Care on the Raymond G. Perelman Campus. Parking is available in the lot beneath the building. 

Vestibular testing will be performed during your visit. This testing may induce nausea. A light meal is permitted prior to testing. Please do NOT wear eye make-up (eyeliner or mascara) or contact lenses on the day of the appointment.
