All Children/Adolescents < 18 yrs Presenting with Concern for Sexual Assault/Abuse
This pathway guides the care of the child/adolescent with suspected sexual assault, including:
- Minimal facts interview by multidisciplinary team
- Physical exam for extragenital injury and forensic evidence collection
- Indications for collection of forensic evidence and chain of evidence
- Indications for STI screening
- Indications for STI prophylaxis/treatment recommendations
- GC, chlamydia, trichomonas
- Syphilis
- HIV
- Indications for emergency contraception
- Reporting
- Medical, Behavioral Health Follow-up
