Severe Anaphylaxis Symptoms

Upper Airway Obstruction

  • Nebulized racemic epinephrine
  • Prepare for intubation
  • Call for airway back-up

Bronchospasm

  • Nebulized albuterol
  • May require IV terbutaline (2-10 mcg/kg)

Poor Perfusion or Hypotension

  • NS 20ml/kg bolus; repeat as necessary
  • Epinephrine infusion (0.01mcg/kg/min)
  • Trendelenburg position
