Manual Therapies
While there is currently no strong evidence to support manual therapies or “bodywork” (craniosacral therapy, chiropractic, myofascial release, osteopathic manipulation, etc.) infants with potential musculoskeletal challenges impacting biomechanics of feeding (torticollis/head preference, hyper - or hypotonia) may benefit from musculoskeletal assessment and treatment by a healthcare professional with expertise in infant musculoskeletal development and function as needed to support optimal oral feeding and maximize non-surgical interventions.
