- For patients between the ages of 5 and 17 who require more intensive treatment to overcome emotional and psychiatric concerns
- Incorporates various treatment methods and provides youth with the opportunities to learn new coping skills, improve decision-making abilities, and manage acute mental illness symptoms in healthy manners

Community Residential Rehabilitation-Host Home (CRR-HH) |
- Provides mental health evaluation and daily treatment, including intensive therapy, to patients ages 4 through 18 who have serious emotional and behavioral challenges
- CRR‐HH provider trains the host home parent(s) to anticipate and appropriately respond to the patient’s needs and behaviors
- Patients receive services from a psychiatrist, social worker, therapist, mental health worker, and nurse according to their individual needs at the host home and, when necessary, at the provider agency

Residential Treatment Facility (RTF) |
- Arranged by Medicaid or Children Youth Services for patients who cannot be maintained in the family home and need a higher level of care but do not need inpatient psychiatry
- Full-time institutions specifically designed to help troubled children and teens identify their challenges and work toward a long-term solution
- Adept at helping struggling kids with issues like depression, defiance, anxiety, and mental disorders, who cannot be maintained in the community
