Medically Cleared Children in ED Beds Requiring Admission Pending Inpatient Psychiatric Bed

EDECU Eligible	Admit as able, reassess ED patient daily for eligibility
Not EDECU Eligible	Review disposition with the BH team (SW, psych) daily MBU Optimal Location Consult MBU Provider Place MBU bed order as an Observation bed, enter HOH orders General Peds or Adolescent Notify PSPF, NSPF Place bed order as an Observation bed, enter HOH orders Daily Continued Care T7/8 ED Attending, APP huddle daily with SW/Psych after EDECU Rounds, 11 a.m. Review plan/patient care needs, discuss need to transfer child for long stays (> 3 days) and no discharge plan in site: SW, Psych, ED Team review need to transfer child to inpatient location Review with MBU Team as indicated for bed availability daily Contact NOL, POL, PSPF, NSPF to communicate need for transfer to an inpatient location BH experts, SW and Psych are essential partners for escalation calls
