Imaging Recommendations

Image Indication
Neck Ultrasound, Non-vascular
  • Presence of fibrotic mass or nodule in SCM musculature
  • Confirms CMT, helpful in excluding other disorders
Hip Ultrasound
  • Ages 1-4 mos with CMT
  • Due to increased risk developmental dysplasia of the hips
Cervical Spine Radiographs
(2-view, AP and Lateral)
  • Failed > 3 months of conservative management through Physical Therapy
  • Craniofacial asymmetry, short neck, low hairline
  • or
  • elevation or asymmetry of the scapulae
