Chronic Steroid Use/Exposure

Steroid exposure can be defined as: Daily therapy for 90 days of hydrocortisone, prednisone/prednisolone, methylprednisolone, dexamethasone, budesonide, vamorolone, or deflazacort at doses that exceed physiological replacement based on age and sex. Patients who are prescribed and/or use steroidal medications on a continuous basis are at risk of developing increased bone fragility.
