EEG Monitoring Review |
- EEG service reviews initial recording to identify electrographic seizures
- Timing of subsequent EEG reviews determined by clinical situation, initial EEG findings, and occurrence of events
- If electrographic seizures are identified, the next EEG review will occur after completion of the next step of seizure management
- Events of unclear etiology can be assessed if ICU staff push EEG button at appropriate time to mark event of interest

- EEG Technologist may only convey preliminary findings to ICU MD/APP or NeuroICU Consultation Service (not ICU RN)
