The table below includes baseline labs and considerations for infants meeting high risk criteria.
Note: lab studies are not routinely recommended for all infants.

< 1 month	CMP, CBC, urinalysis	Metabolic evaluation, repeat newborn screen, sweat test
1 month to 12 months	CBC, CMP, urinalysis, TSH, celiac screen if > 6 months and gluten exposure (total IgA tissue transglutaminase, IgG deaminated gliadin peptide)	Fecal heme occult, metabolic evaluation, repeat newborn screen, sweat test, vitamin and minerals
