Infant Single Ventricle Monitoring Program

Program Purpose

Decrease interstage mortality and increase quality of life in patients with high-risk shunt-dependent physiology

Program Interventions and Monitoring

  • Patients are followed until Stage II or complete repair
  • Team works with family, CHOP cardiologist, home cardiologist (if applicable), and pediatrician
  • Proactive identification of potential risk factors to decrease complications, morbidities and mortality
  • Close monitoring of feeding tolerance, weight gain and oxygen saturation
