Oncology Patient with New Fever

Children with:

  • Cancer who have received chemotherapy within the last 2 mos
  • History of engineered cell therapy (e.g., CAR T-cell)
  • History of Allogeneic stem cell transplant (e.g., BMT, PSCT)

Fever

Temperature:

  • ≥ 38.5°C once
  • ≥ 38.0°C 3 times w/in 24 hour period (2 hrs apart)

Any location or modality used to measure the temperature is acceptable. Temperatures measured by the parents at home are considered true measurements.
