Type I Fracture
  • Incomplete
  • Non-displaced
  • Anterior humeral line passes through the middle 3rd of the capitellum
  • Elbow effusion, (anterior sail, posterior fat pad signs)
Type II Fracture
  • Incomplete
  • Angulated (anterior cortex distract + posterior cortex intact, acting as hinge)
  • Anterior humeral line does not cross the capitellum
  • Effusion (anterior sail, posterior fat pad signs)
Type III Fracture
  • Complete
  • Displaced (anterior + posterior cortices disrupted)
  • Anterior humeral line does not cross the capitellum
  • Effusion (anterior sail, posterior fat pad signs)
