Nancy K. Etzel, RN, ACNP-BC

Nancy K. Etzel, MSN, CRNP is Director of Global Pediatric Education at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She received her BA in International Studies and Spanish from Niagara University, and later earned her BSN and MSN from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, where she pursued a number of volunteer opportunities focusing on international and local community collaboration. Nancy worked for several years in dental insurance administration, and began her nursing career as a surgical critical care nurse on the Rhoads 5 Trauma and Surgical ICU at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Nancy later practiced as a Neurosurgery nurse practitioner in the University of Pennsylvania Health System. In 2014, she returned to the division of Traumatology, Surgical Critical Care and Emergency Surgery as a nurse practitioner, where she practiced clinically until starting at CHOP Global Pediatric Education in 2019. Nancy has been active in nursing education within the Penn system, as well as in international locations including Mexico, Guatemala, Botswana, and Colombia.
