About Roger Harrison, PhD

Dr. Roger Harrison, PhD, is the Division Chief (Co-Chief) for the Division of Community Care and Wellness in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences (DCAPBS). Dr. Harrison has a wealth of leadership experience in the development of community pediatric behavioral health programs, specifically behavioral health integration in primary care and community settings.

Dr. Harrison came to CHOP from Nemours Children’s Health, Wilmington, where he was a leader in pediatric psychology, integrated pediatric behavioral health in primary care, and educational programs for pediatric psychologists and medical residents. He is a nationally recognized leader in pediatric psychology practice, clinical care, systems of care development and the education of pediatric psychologists. In addition to his role as Diversity and Inclusion Advisor for the Division of Behavioral Health, Dr. Harrison served Nemours in an enterprise role through their Office of Health Equity and Inclusion (OHEI). Beyond his leadership role at Nemours, he continues to serve in key national and regional leadership roles. He is the President of the Delaware Psychological Association (DPA) and also serves as a governor-appointed member of the Delaware Health Care Commission. He is a nationally recognized leader in Diversity Education and has provided Cultural Humility Education for hundreds of healthcare providers across major academic health systems. His contributions have been recognized by several prestigious organizations, including the Association of Psychologists in Academic Health Centers (APAHC), Action for Delaware’s Children, Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC) and Society of Pediatric Psychology (SPP), among others. In addition to his excellence in leadership, systems development, clinical care and education, he is notably an extremely effective collaborator and colleague.
