During this virtual webinar, participants will:
- Learn about the implementation of acute concussion management in a clinical setting
- Gain an understanding of updated research about concussion
- Receive a demonstration of an objective concussion examination and documentation examples
- Study best practices for developing a patient care plan to support a pediatric or adolescent patient with concussion
This professional education webinar is designed for those who work directly with athletes or participants with acute concussion including athletic trainers, nurses and physicians, which may include practitioners in sports medicine, primary care or family medicine. The cost of attendance for this event is $42 for athletic trainers and nurses; $62 for physicians.
Learning objectives:
- Understand the management of acute concussion care.
- Demonstrate a Visio-Vestibular Exam (VVE) and recognize deficits in vestibular function.
- Integrate a return to cognitive and physical activity as part of the recovery process from concussion.
