Center for Simulation, Advanced Education and Innovation
The Center for Simulation, Advanced Education and Innovation at CHOP is the premier pediatric simulation training, education and research center that influences and promotes simulation to improve healthcare quality and safety.
The center prepares clinicians to provide the safest, most efficient and state-of-the-art care to children — all while using medical manikins. Each year, the center provides more than 950 teaching sessions to more than 11,000 attendees, training the leading pediatricians of tomorrow.

Center for Life Support Education and Outreach
CHOP’s Center for Life Support Education and Outreach provides a variety of certification courses for staff including registered nurses, respiratory therapists, advanced practice providers, physicians and others.
Courses include Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Emergency Assessment Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI), and EMS Education and Outreach.

Nursing Professional Development
The Department of Nursing and Clinical Care Services offers two distinct professional development programs for registered nurses: a Nurse Residency Program for new RNs, and a Professional Advancement Program.
