Families staying at the Middleman Family Pavilion in King of Prussia have plenty of food options, including room service, local food delivery and access to a variety of options for special diets. Parents should check with their child’s medical team before ordering to ensure their child doesn't have any dietary restrictions related to their care while at the hospital.
You and your child — along with guests — can order food to be delivered to your child’s room when you want it.
Room Service orders may be placed anytime between 6:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. Limited meal options are available in the pantry refrigerator on each unit for patients who are admitted after normal Room Service hours.
Your child's doctor will order the appropriate diet for your child, based on their condition, age and medical needs (i.e., low-salt, gluten-free). You will receive a Room Service packet upon your child’s admission with menus and additional information.
How to order
You can order room service by:
- Dialing 8-FOOD (8-3663) from the phone in your child’s hospital room, or
- Using the CHOP-provided iPad available in your child’s hospital room
Your meal will arrive within 45 minutes.
If you have a special request for a food item or other dietary needs (such as Kosher or Halal foods), we'll try our best to accommodate it. Contact the kitchen from your child's hospital phone to discuss.
Parents, siblings and other guests can order from Room Service using a guest meal voucher. Each voucher costs $5 and can be redeemed for one soup or salad, one bread or roll, one entrée, two sides, one dessert and one beverage.
Guest meal vouchers can be purchased in the café on the 1st floor of the hospital or online at https://chop.healthcaredish.com. Vouchers will be delivered to your child’s inpatient room.
A menu of available kosher foods is available upon request.
There will be a rotation of Halal and Mediterranean meals available in the café.
