Thanks to an alliance with Lancaster General Health, doctors from Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) are now providing neonatology care at Women & Babies Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. CHOP neonatologists work in the hospital 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide children with high quality care. With CHOP’s board-certified neonatologists communicating directly with your child’s primary doctor, your child is in good hands.
Women & Babies Hospital is a family-centered hospital focusing completely on the healthcare needs of women. It was the first hospital in Pennsylvania to earn the Baby-Friendly Hospital designation, which recognizes birth facilities that offer mothers the information, confidence and skills needed to successfully breastfeed their babies. Since opening in 2000, physicians and midwives at Women & Babies Hospital have delivered more babies than any other hospital in Lancaster County. Maternity services include a labor and delivery unit, couplet care, and the county’s first Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
