CHOP Newborn & Pediatric Care at Grand View Health

700 Lawn Ave., Sellersville, PA 18960

CHOP Newborn & Pediatric Care at Grand View Health is a newborn and pediatric service developed to provide high-quality newborn, neonatal intensive care, pediatric inpatient, consultative and emergency care to children in Bucks County, PA. The program combines the expertise of Children's Hospital of Philadelphia with Grand View Health's Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Unit.

Newborn care

CHOP Newborn Care at Grand View Health includes a Level II NICU with six beds.

Available services include maternal/fetal medicine, perinatal testing, lactation services, “nesting rooms,” 24-hour in-house coverage by CHOP’s board-certified neonatologists and hospitalists, and consultation from CHOP radiologists and cardiologists, who provide echocardiography services.

Pediatric care

Since November 1995, Grand View's 16-bed pediatric unit delivers an enhanced level of inpatient pediatric care in familiar surroundings. Attending pediatricians provide 24-hour inpatient service to the pediatric unit, as well as emergency room consultations.

CHOP Pediatric Care works with a team of healthcare professionals — primary care physicians, inpatient pediatricians and a specially trained nursing staff. In addition, telephone consultations with specialists at Children's Hospital help speed the patient's recovery.

Upon discharge, final summaries and test results are forwarded to all caregivers, keeping everyone informed. Patients are referred to their primary care provider for follow-up care on discharge.

Subspecialists from Children's Hospital, including pediatric cardiologists, are available for consultation at Grand View Health.
