Close to 1,200 CHOP supporters, families and friends affected by pediatric congenital heart disease participated in the event, which was hosted outdoors in the parking lot of CHOP’s Roberts Center for Pediatric Research and virtually for participants at home. Outdoor participants rode relay-style, sharing a bike, with sessions led by some of Philadelphia’s hottest cycling instructors. The event was filled with heart pumping music and captivating “CHOP Heart Warrior” patient stories.

Proceeds from the fifth annual Philly Spin-In will directly support patient care, treatment and research that benefits children with heart conditions in the surrounding Philadelphia area and around the world. The Cardiac Center at CHOP features some of the largest and most accomplished medical teams in the world, with each member specially trained to care for children with congenital heart conditions. Collectively, the Cardiac team has revolutionized the way children with congenital and acquired heart conditions are diagnosed, treated and followed into adulthood.
