Recently, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) hosted The Runway, a contemporary lunchtime fashion show curated by top Philadelphia-area boutiques and designers, featuring a pop-up trunk show offering one-of-a-kind goods. The event, presented by Fred and Bryna Berman, took place at The Grand Belle at The Bellevue Hotel, and benefited CHOP’s Integrative Health Program which combines mainstream medicine with evidence-based, complementary therapies, including yoga, reiki, meditation, aromatherapy and acupuncture. So far, more than $654,000 (and counting!) has been raised to fund integrative health care options!

The Runway is an annual day of fashion and philanthropy supporting breakthrough care and research. The event celebrates the creativity of our fashion partners, the resilience of our patients and the impact we make when we come together. The season’s latest fashions were modeled by local celebrities and CHOP clinicians, patients and supporters of the hospital’s Integrative Health Program, which offers integrative and evidence-based therapies for the whole child.

CHOP’s integrative therapies offer a source of comfort, hope, and empowerment during challenging times when visiting CHOP for treatment can feel overwhelming or isolating for children. These therapies not only support overall wellness and healing but also help alleviate side effects of treatment. By giving children the choice to engage in the therapies that resonate with them, the program helps foster a sense of control and agency in their care, making them active participants and empowering them through their recovery.
