  • CBC, consider ferritin
  • Consider STI screen
    • GC, chlamydia, trichomonas
    • Others as clinically indicated
Anemia or Significant Ongoing Blood Loss,
Family History of
Bleeding Disorders
  • PT/PTT, fibrinogen
  • Type & Cross as indicated
  • Consider Additional Coagulation Testing
    • VWB Panel
      • VWF antigen
      • Ristocetin co-factor assay
      • Factor VIII assay
    • Estrogen therapy alters results
Additional Testing
  • Consider Anovulatory Labs
    • TSH
    • FSH
    • Prolactin
    • Total and free testosterone
Imaging
  • Pelvic US not indicated
  • Consider if poor response to treatment
