Pain Management

  • Opioid and benzodiazepine infusions as clinically indicated
  • Transition to enteral medications once tolerating enteral feedings/extubated
  • SBS and pain scores every 4 hours and 30 minutes after PRN doses – See Pain Policy, See SBS Scores

Neuropathic pain

  • Consider Pain Management Service Consult
