Definition of Tolerating a Wean
Tolerating a wean is defined as:
- ≤ 20% decrease in PaO2
or
≤ 5% decrease in post-ductal SpO2 and ability to maintain FiO2
If infant does not tolerate wean, return to previous iNO ppm, resume wean after 4 hrs. After each iNO wean, wait 30 minutes before continuing to wean FiO2.
