Severity of Illness
Asymptomatic, Exposed
Mild
  • Upper respiratory tract infection symptoms, including:
    • Fever, fatigue, headache
    • Nasal congestion, sore throat
    • Cough
    • Diarrhea, vomiting
    • Myalgias
Moderate
  • Lower respiratory tract symptoms, including:
    • Tachypnea, cough, WITHOUT hypoxia
    • Radiographic pneumonia
Severe
  • Lower respiratory tract symptoms, including:
    • Tachypnea, cough, WITH hypoxia
      • SpO2 ≤ 93% on RA
      • Need for supplemental oxygen via regular nasal canula
    • Radiographic pneumonia
Critical
  • Lower respiratory tract symptoms, including:
    • Tachypnea, cough, grunting, WITH need for invasive or non-invasive mechanical ventilation (including HFNC)
    • Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome
    • Septic Shock
