These recommendations should be considered a guide only and are informed by the local CHOP antibiogram. Potential sources of infection, lab and imaging results, and the susceptibility patterns of prior isolates should always be considered in selecting an antimicrobial. In addition, non-infectious etiologies and non-bacterial infections should be considered; consider ID consult as indicated.
