This pathway will be used for children suspected of requiring a simple or complex tethered cord release at PHL Campus who do not meet the exclusion criteria listed below. Surgery is typically completed after 3 months of age with family input.

Exclusion Criteria

  • Medically complex requiring ICU post-op regardless of surgical intervention
  • Congenital heart failure
  • Chronic respiratory failure
  • Concurrent spinal surgery
