Goals

  • Standardize management of elevated blood lead levels (BLL)
  • Reduce inequities in evidence-based management of elevated blood lead levels
  • Improve timeliness of follow-up testing for elevated blood lead levels
  • Improve collaboration with community partners to reduce exposure to environmental lead hazards

Metrics

  • Improve % of patients with elevated BLL who have follow-up testing
    within 120 days
  • Improve % of Medicaid patients with elevated BLL who are prescribed a multivitamin with Fe within 30 days
  • Monitor the length of time for patients with elevated BLL to receive a home inspection
  • Shorten the length of time it takes for patients’ elevated BLL to decrease
  • For patients with BLL > 20, improve % of patients with documented outreach in Epic within 5-7 days of resulted level
