Behavioral Parent Training (BPT)
  • Preferred for 3–5 yrs
    • Highly effective for parents of children up to age 12 yrs
  • Components of BPT
    • Targets behavior change in home environment
    • Strengthens parent-child relationship by providing special time with child
    • Positive reinforcement for prosocial behaviors with appropriate consequences for undesirable behaviors

Behavioral Classroom Management (BCM)
  • Highly effective for students in preschool through middle school
  • Components of BCM
    • Targets behavior change in classroom settings
    • Strengthens teacher-student relationship
    • Incorporates classroom-wide and individual strategies including:
Behavioral Peer Interventions (BPI)
  • More effective with adolescents and when implemented in schools
  • Components of BPI
    • Social skill training individually and in groups
    • Implementation of behavior management plan targeting specific social behaviors in real-world settings (classroom, playground, lunchroom)
Organizational Skill Training (OST)
  • Effective for students in grades 3 through 12
  • Components of OST
    • Trains students to organize homework assignments and materials, manage time in completing tasks, and plan projects
    • Parent/teacher training to reinforce skills
    • Typically 15-20 sessions
