Joseph St. Geme, III, MD, Chairman, Physician-in-Chief
Joseph St. Geme, MD, is Physician-in-Chief and Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and holds the Leonard and Madlyn Abramson Endowed Chair in Pediatrics.

Residency Program Staff

Jeanine Ronan, MD, MSEd Program Director
Jeanine Ronan, MD, is an attending physician in the Division of General Pediatrics. Her areas of interest include pediatric hospital medicine, hospital operations, simulation education, mentoring trainees.


Beth Rezet, MD, Vice Program Director
Beth Rezet, MD, is a pediatrician at Karabots Pediatric Care Center, West Philadelphia, a CHOP Care Network primary care practice. Her areas of interest include health equity, advocacy, curriculum development, faculty development and program design.


George Dalembert, MD, MSHP, Associate Program Director
George Dalembert, MD, MSHP, is an attending physician in the Division of General Pediatrics. His areas of interest include community pediatrics and advocacy, primary care, health equity, health services research, and health policy.


Adelaide Barnes, MD, Associate Program Director and Chair, Intern Selection Committee
Adelaide Barnes, MD, is an attending physician in the Division of General Pediatrics. Her areas of interest include pediatric hospital medicine, diverse workforce recruitment, health equity, mentorship, and global health/global medical education.


Tara W. Bamat, MD, Associate Program Director
Tara W. Bamat, MD, is an attending physician in the Division of General Pediatrics and the Justin Michael Ingerman Center for Palliative Care. Her areas of interest include complex care pediatrics and palliative care, communication training (VitalTalk), trainee wellness, resilience, and burnout, and supporting trainee parents.


Nicole Washington, MD, Associate Program Director
Nicole Washington, MD, is an attending physician in the Division of General Pediatrics. Her areas of interest include hospital medicine, clinical operations and hospital flow, leadership development, and bias & equity teaching.


Lindsey G. Albenberg, DO, Associate Program Director
Lindsey G. Albenberg, DO, is an attending physician in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition. Her areas of interest include pediatric inflammatory bowel disease, pediatric integrative medicine, researching diet and the gut microbiota in health and disease, and mentoring trainees in medical research.


Anna K. Weiss, MD, MSEd, Associate Program Director
Anna K. Weiss, MD, MSEd, is an attending physician in the Division of Emergency Medicine. Her areas of interest include simulation education, procedural skills training, trainee assessment, and mentoring across the UME-to-CME continuum.
