Description

The purpose of this research study is to test and adapt new techniques for performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). MRI provides pictures of the inside of the body and information about chemicals the body makes. Here are some examples of what we hope to accomplish:1. Adapt MRI techniques used at other institutions for use on CHOP MRI scanners2. Increase the amount of information learned from each MRI imageThe research sequences involve changing the settings of the magnetic resonance scanner. By research sequences we mean that they are not approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for clinical use. The data we obtain will help the FDA evaluate whether or not they can eventually approve the sequences for clinical use.We are seeking to enroll healthy volunteers, 18 years of age and above. Pregnant females excluded for safety purposes.
