Voice Recording

Voice recording is particularly useful for developmentally appropriate children over the age of 3 years who have a history of vocal cord paralysis, airway reconstruction, or tracheostomy and have problems with their voice.

The study is performed with a physician and specially trained speech language pathologist. Your child will repeat specific phrases and sounds when prompted into a microphone that is attached to specialized equipment. The results can help guide your child’s speech therapy plan or surgical management.
