Neurometabolic Optical Monitor: A Game-changer for CPR and Critical Care

Researchers at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia are working to create a non-invasive device to measure brain oxygenation during CPR and critical care, with the goal to reduce brain injury and death. The neurometabolic optical monitor (NOM) would sit on a patient's forehead and monitor blood flow, oxygen delivery and metabolism in the brain.
