About the Bereavement Program

We are sorry for the loss that may have brought you to this page. Grief is an incredibly challenging and isolating part of life. The bereavement team at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia would like you to know that you are not alone and that your relationship with Children's Hospital does not have to end when your child dies.

Our team hopes to provide support in various ways, giving insight and reassurance throughout your grief process. For some, an explanation on what to expect in grief may be helpful. For others, recommendations on books, tips for talking with children about grief or connection to local resources is what's important. Please explore the linked resources below and if you need additional support finding a resource for your family, please contact us.

At Children's Hospital, we believe in caring for a family's needs, even if their child has died. We offer support, hope and guidance to help families rebuild their lives after tragedy.
