Division of Dentistry

At the Division of Dentistry at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), we believe the health of your whole child — not simply your child's teeth — is of the utmost importance. Our pediatric dentists and oral and maxillofacial surgeons offer the highest level of care for children from birth through 19 years of age who have complex medical/physical conditions or special emotional needs.

We offer:

  • Care for children needing dental treatment in the operating room or with the use of sedation
  • Highly specialized anesthesiologists for children whose cardiac condition places them at high risk for routine general anesthesia
  • Treatment for jaw deformities, teeth/jaw infections and jaw injuries
  • Special expertise in wisdom teeth, dental implants, jaw alignment surgery and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) surgery
