If your child shows signs of a behavioral or mental health condition, the sooner they can get help, the better. At Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), we recognize that budding issues are easier to treat than full-blown problems.

Your CHOP primary care pediatrician (PCP) is the best place to begin. They may diagnose and treat your child's issue or collaborate with the Healthy Minds, Healthy Kids (HMHK) behavioral healthcare provider located right in your primary care office.

The HMHK professional provides brief behavioral health interventions. If longer treatment is necessary, the HMHK provider works with your pediatrician and family to support appropriate community-based referrals.

HMHK is part of CHOP's efforts to provide your child with the right care at the right time in the right place.

How we serve you

Your primary care pediatrician may refer your child to a Healthy Minds, Healthy Kids provider. That provider may see your child up to eight times for therapy to get them on a path to healing and wholeness. Here are the CHOP primary care locations where HMHK providers see children.

Conditions we treat

HMHK providers treat many of the most common behavioral and emotional conditions. These include:
