Lipid Heart Clinic

The Lipid Heart Clinic at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) evaluates and treats children and teens who have high levels of lipids (fats) in their blood. We are part of CHOP's Preventative Cardiovascular Program. Our ultimate goal is to reduce your child's risk for early heart disease later in life.

We understand that each child is different. Our team will work together to create a personalized treatment plan for your child, including customized diet and lifestyle changes. We may also prescribe medication to lower your child’s cholesterol. We believe the combined expertise of medical doctors and licensed dietitians provides the best possible treatment for lowering lipid levels.

Our clinic often participates in research studies, and your child may also be eligible to enroll in one of these studies.

How we serve you
