Occupational Therapy Resources

Medical Assistance recipients are eligible for transportation to occupational therapy appointments. Prior to calling for medical transportation, you should have the following information ready: the name and address of the occupational therapist your child will be seeing, date and time of the scheduled appointment, and Occupational Therapy department phone number: 215-590-5819. Please inform the transportation company that you need to arrive 45 minutes to an hour prior to your scheduled appointment to allow time for check-in.

Support and Education Groups

The “Developmental Therapy Group” is a group program offered at Virtua Specialty Care Center. Four children participate in an 8-week Physical and Occupational Therapy developmental group aimed at improving skills such as independence with dressing, clothing fasteners, utensil use and handwriting as well as improving general strength, balance and coordination. If your child is age 4 - 8 years old and you'd be interested in participating, please contact devgroupVirtua@chop.edu.
