Heartfelt Haven

A supportive space for parents and caregivers of those being treated in the CHOP Cancer Center who are inpatient at the Main Hospital at the time of the event. Join us for therapeutic activities, memory-making and more.

Tuesdays on the inpatient unit of the Main Hospital.

Men’s Group

A group for men who are caregivers of children in the Cancer Center at CHOP to connect with each other through activities, such as: sporting events, meaning-making art activities, processing of the experience of being a caregiver to a child with cancer, learning coping strategies from other Dads, etc.

Activities are scheduled throughout the year at various locations.

Caregiver Wellbeing Tables & Carts

Supportive resources and self-care products are made available to parents and caregivers of children being followed in the Cancer Center at CHOP. Tables and carts are offered every 1-2 months at the Main Hospital, Buerger Center, King of Prussia Hospital and Voorhees locations.

Caregiver Reiki Training

Reiki is a lovely self-care practice and this training provides additional tools for the care of the child. The training is available to parents and caregivers of children being followed in the Cancer Center at CHOP. Caregivers take an online learning module and then meet with Tonia Kulp for Reiki 1 Attunement.

CHOP Retinoblastoma Caregiver Virtual Gathering

Facilitated by social work and child life, a space for parents and caregivers to share coping advice and experiences with caring for their child with retinoblastoma. This is for parents and caregivers of patients with retinoblastoma treated at CHOP. Meets virtually every 2-4 months.
