Center for Diagnostic Innovation

The Center for Diagnostic Innovation (CDI) at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) uses state-of-the-art technology to provide advanced and complex diagnostic services to children with rare and undiagnosed diseases, clinical trial support (including biopharma outreach), and rapid clinical development. The center is an incubator for novel diagnostic technologies within CHOP. Our clinical leaders bring a high level of experience, knowledge and clinical competence to the center.
CDI is accredited by both the Clinical Laboratory Improvements Amendments (CLIA) and the College of American Pathologists (CAP). This enables CHOP to devleop novel assay developments that meet the highest regulatory requirements and enables compliance for Phase I trial support and FDA requirements. Our goal is to provide services to clinical experts within CHOP, as well as other institutions across the country and around the world. We look forward to partnering with you to help diagnose and treat your most challenging clinical cases. Our goal is to help ensure that children everywhere lead healthier lives.
